Located in Targon, in the Entre Deux Mer region of Bordeaux, Corinne Perrette farms 25ha of vineyard, that's planted with 1/3 each of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Established in 1976, Corinne took over from her mother in 1997, and she vinifies grapes from each plot seperately in small vats and only bottles the best blends.
This is an excellent entry level Bordeaux and very popular with customers looking for a fruit friendly red, thats not too dry or tannic, and can be drank with a variety of dishes. A wine that's firm, with ripe, blackberry fruit shot through with a savoury black pepper element, and nice, grippy tannins. Chosen as one of Mary Dowey's 101 Great Wines Under €12, where she labelled it as 'among the 10 Best Wines for a Posh Dinner'.
Food Match: lamb, beef, casseroles.
